A political pressure group of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Delta state, Urhobo Political Group, UPG, under the leadership of Mr Jerry Uloho has assured former governor of Abia State, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu of their support for the position of the Deputy Senate President at the forth coming inauguration of the Senate House.
In an enlarged meeting of UPG held at Ughelli, Delta State, Uloho urged all other senators-elect to stand firm for Kalu because of his political antecedent nationwide.
He said, “The political track records of Orji Uzor Kalu is adjudged excellent right from 1999 when he was Governor, he has served the nation in many capacities as Chairman of Borno Water Board and Chairman of Co-operative and Commerce Bank Ltd.
“His is an employer of labour with establishment of the following companies, Chairman SLOK Holdings, Chairman Daily Sun, and the New Telegraph Newspapers.
“We are looking at capacity, integrity and credibility my brother might be vieing for same position but the Senate House is not for ethnicity and we have decided to support the South East in this course because of the 100 percent confidence we had in him”. Uloho Said
